As K.A.W uses the latest
manufacturing methods for making the traditional products in modern
dosage forms, quality control procedures applicable to Good
Manufacturing Practices are strictly followed whenever applicable.
Raw Herbs are tested for Description ( Macroscopic &
Microscopic) Alcohol, Water soluble Extract and Volatile Oil
presence of Active Substances such as tannin, bitter Principle,
alkaloid etc. Bhasmas are tested for presence of metals
(Qualitatively & Quantitatively) using paper chromatography
technique.
Mass Extract are tested for Description, Taste, pH, Sedimentation
and Water-Soluble Extract. Finished Products such as tablets are
tested for Average Weight, Disintegration Time, Hardness, Thickness,
Diameter, Moisture etc. Active contents Ingredients (Qualitative
&/or Quantitatively as feasible).
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT:
Kashmir Ayurvedic Works has divided its Research and Development
into two distinct areas. In Ayurvedic lines, the emphasis is on
reformulations and research among traditional products.
Reformulations of the products is also taken up to improve the
acceptability of the product.
In other area of Ayurvedic Research and Development new products are
sought to be formulated. Using sophisticated modern means,
traditional herbs and after ingredients have been put together to
form new preparations. Kashmir Ayurvedic Works is continuously
engaged in Research and Development activities to stay way ahead of
competition and to identify other product lines for development.

K.A.W’s. marketing effort was started in rural India, strategy in
consonance with the founder’s policy of reaching as much
